Here Are Some Of The Chiropractic Services Dr. Wells Offers

Chiropractic

Chiropractic involves adjusting the joints of the spine and extremities. An adjustment puts motion into joints that aren’t moving enough. Joints are surrounded by nerves that make their way to the brain. When these joints are adjusted they provide a stimulus that increases the nerve's activity. The increase in activity block’s the pain signals to the brain and can provide a pain-relieving release.

Sports Rehabilitation

Sports Medicine Chiropractic is individualized care through skilled active and rehabilitative treatment for the prevention of injuries related to sports and exercise and is especially beneficial for athletes.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a technique used for the treatment of pain and movement impairments. The technique inserts a “dry” thin filiform needle that doesn’t contain medication into areas of the muscle to resolve pain, decrease muscle tension, and promote healing by eliminating tight bands of muscle tissue called trigger points with increased localized blood flow to the area. Dry needling is different from acupuncture and is supported by research.

Movement Therapy

Many of the aches and pains people experience are due to improper movement habits. Finishing a treatment session with simple functional movements greatly improves the effectiveness of soft tissue work and adjustments. Treatments like chiropractic, myofascial release, and dry needling help “reset” the system while functional movement training “reloads” proper habits.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

The tools may be hard, but the techniques are soft. IASTM is designed to be used with very gentle applications of force, aggressive techniques with heavy pressure are no longer required. IASTM is used to resolve pain and tightness in the body. The instruments make it easier to detect and treat fascial dysfunction, triggering an inflammatory healing response.

Muscle Activation

Reflexive Performance Reset is a muscle activation technique utilizing specific neuromuscular points on the body. With RPR, we use reflex points on the body that reset your body out of harmful compensation patterns. If you are constantly stressed, overworked, sore, or fatigued from training then RPR may be right for you.
